The wait is over and GSA is back once again with Gujarati community of Canberra’s most popular Navratri Celebration with “Sur Vrund Group”.

Entry Fees –

  • $2/person (for Mon to Thu)
  • $5/person (for Fri to Sun)
  • Family Pass: $51 for 10 days
  • Free Entry for children under 7 years

Sharad Purnima Celebration 2014

Sharad Purnima Celebration 2014 Canberra, Australia

The wait is over and GSA is back once again with Gujarati community of Canberra’s most popular Sharad Purnima celebration. As promised during Navartari festival, GSA has scheduled a free gala night for GSA members on Saturday 11th October from 6.30 pm onwards. Non GSA members have an option to join the celebration by paying either $5 entry fee per person (at the venue) or can become GSA member by paying $10 (family membership).

Let’s catch up and celebrate the night in slightly different way this time at “Theo Notaras Multicultural hall “participate in the games, music, songs, dance, quiz and jokes and of course raas garbas, Antakshari etc. Furthermore, the celebration of this full moon night would be incomplete without traditional bataka wada (deep fried stuffed potato ball) and doodh pauva (rice flakes with milk).

Cost     – GSA Members – Free Non Member – $5 entry per person. Alternatively, can enrol for family membership by paying $10 and the entry is then free.

Those who have not renewed their membership for 2014 – 2015 year can take this opportunity to do so.

Please note that this is an alcohol free event. Right of entry to the event is reserved with GSA committee.
